Who we are
Founded in 2015, Aid a Life was built on a simple vision, to “train people the way we would like to be trained ourselves.” We saw a need for high-quality, affordable training that truly delivers results. Since then, we’ve been proud to train across the UK, helping organisations meet industry standards and empowering individuals to build new skills, grow in confidence and transform their careers.
Why We Started
Aid a Life began with a moment that changed everything.
Emma Fairburn, a qualified Norland Nanny, was present when a nine month old baby began to choke. In that moment, she realised she was the only one who knew what to do. The experience opened her eyes, many of the families she worked with had never attended a first aid course.
From that day, a passion was born. Emma wanted every parent to have access to the knowledge and confidence to save a life. Determined to make a difference, she trained to become a fully qualified First Aid instructor.
It wasn’t long before Emma gained a reputation for her fun, inclusive and engaging training style. Learners who once feared standing up in front of others found their confidence, breaking down barriers and learning vital skills in a supportive environment.
And that’s how a different kind of First Aid training was born; one that’s practical, empowering and designed for everyone.
Our team
The people behind the passion
At Aid a Life, our instructors share the same passion that inspired our beginning, making first aid training accessible, engaging and confidence building for everyone.
Our team comes from a mix of backgrounds, including the emergency services, healthcare and professional training. They bring real life experience, a friendly approach and a genuine love for helping others learn. Every session is hands-on, supportive and filled with encouragement; because we believe learning life saving skills should be as empowering as it is enjoyable.
